Bulk Foodveyor

(Philip R. Bonner who plays The Recombiner) is an artist who uses media & electronics in various nonstandard ways: Animatronic (motorized) puppetry, video-based performance, costumes and prosthesis, graphic design and stereographic 3D. He was a founding member of several groups which use video as a live performance tool: 77Hz, ESMP and Lord Knows Compost. In Lord Knows Compost, he worked closely with OSC Software to produce a radically unusual CDROM library of digital video clips. He has toured Canada with the group Screen as an assistant puppeteer & camera operator on their ´Fleabotics´ project, which was seen in such venues as the International Symposium of Electronic Artists in Montreal, Quebec and the Festival Musique Actuelle in Victoriaville, Quebec. He frequently works at George Coates Performance Works in San Francisco, CA, where he produces stereoscopic 3-D images which are projected as sets that are inhabited by live actors. Most recently, he produced stereoscopic images and an ugly animatronic infant for an opera by the band Three Day Stubble. This is his second tour of duty with Enie Macy and the 10 Step Program. He was nominated for an Isadora Duncan Award for set design work on Enie Macy. Bulk is a founding member of the RK Corral.
