July 19-August 10
Gallery hours: Wed-Sat 1-6 PM
Opening Reception: Friday, July 19, 7-9 PM

“Emerging painter Kim Miskowicz draws inspiration from the belief in the therapeutic effects of viewing distant forms in the landscape. Miskowicz examines and compares landscape photography, isolating specific forms before transferring them to the canvas. Here, she further explores morphing environments by pouring various sumptuous materials into and over her imagery, creating layered textural surfaces. The result is a contemplative transformation of content and perception where thunderheads become mountains, tree lines become moss, bark becomes plateau ridges, and ocean becomes lava flow.”
