The work of Amber Stucke investigates intangible ideologies, sociopsychological dialogues, and the idea of deconstruction. Her detailed drawings and paintings invoke an unseen perspective of the human portrait. Epidemic deals with the rapid growth of external forces, such as globalization and consumerism, and how these forces affect our internal selves. Stucke deconstructs the traditional portrait with sarcasm, scientific metaphors, and her own visual language. With this work, Stucke sees human life as both beautiful and ugly, and she challenges the logical and abstract understanding of that existence.
