MEMBERSHIP

Membership is a great way to be a part of The Lab and ensure that our programs, events, educational opportunities and artist residencies continue. We love seeing you around and hope that a membership will keep you involved and coming back to the space to enjoy our wide variety of programming all year long.

Membership includes FREE admission to all Lab exhibitions, performances, and events as well as reduced entry fees to submit to Lab exhibitions and events.

Lab Membership: $50/year

Student/Emerging Artist Membership: $30/year

Membership dues can be paid by check, cash, credit card, or by using the PayPal links above.
 

GENERAL DONATIONS

Make a general donation to The Lab of any amount. All gifts help. The Lab’s programs are not possible without your generous, tax-deductible donations.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT The Lab
Donate in-kind services, like design, printing, products and services; equipment and materials, like computers and art supplies.

The Lab is a 501(c)3 non-profit and all gifts are fully tax deductible.
 

Volunteer Opportunities

The Lab is continuously welcoming volunteers. Come lend a hand and support the arts community. To sign up to volunteer at an event, or to add yourself to the on-going volunteers email list, send your name and contact info to Sarah Bernat at sarah@thelab.org.

Our promises to our volunteers:
-We will appreciate your contribution!!
-We will also treat you with respect and courtesy.
-We will keep you informed about scheduling changes,
-We will offer you a behind-the-scenes look at how the Lab operates.
-You can earn a Lab membership by volunteering five times
-We’ll email you once or twice a month to tell you about upcoming events, and you can reply to sign up for a shift that works with your calendar.

These are the general volunteer activities:
Exhibition installation and deinstallation
Volunteers help:
- prepare the space for installation, including cleaning, painting, spackling, sanding
- keep the artwork organized and the space orderly
- with moving the bar, the movable wall, exhibition tables and pedestals
- with the artist or performer’s project as the need arises

Performances
Volunteers help:
- set up and take down for the night, including cleaning, moving chairs, helping move equipment and the bar
- with lighting and documentation
-hand out programs or show people to seats
-bartend
- with the artist or performer’s project as the need arises

Office
Volunteers help:
- keep the office neat
- pick up in-kind donations
- with copies and mailings
- update the email list
- distribute flyers and postcards
