The LAB is pleased to partner with Other Minds in hosting their annual Composer Fellowship Concert. The Other Minds Composer Fellowship presents composers with the opportunity for a unique residency in conjunction with the 17th Other Minds Festival of New Music, dubbed by the LA Times "the premier new music festival west of the Rockies."

Intrepid festival-goers will again enjoy the music of four young innovators, selected from an international pool of applicants: emerging composers D. Edward Davis (Durham, NC), John P. Hastings (Brooklyn, NY), Peter Swednsen (Oberlin, OH), and Jen Wang (Berkeley, CA) will participate in a series of events including lecture-presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and seminars, and have the opportunity to pick the brains of all of this year's featured composers. The experience will culminate in this concert featuring new and revised music by all four composers, performed by three of the Bay Area's top percussionists Chris Froh, Dan Kennedy, and Loren Mach, plus a special set of works by John Cage.
